Benefits of thieves in society

A teacher at school told the children to write an essay on "Benefits of thieves in the society.

A JSS 1 student, Femi, wrote his essay like this:

▪️ "Thieves are the backbone of a country's economy."

▪️ People may think this is a joke or a mistake, but it is actually something to consider.

▪️ Safes, cupboards and locks are needed because of thieves. This gives work to carpenters and the companies that create them.

▪️ Because of thieves, there are grilles on the windows of the house, there are doors, the doors are locked, not only that, there are additional gates or collapsible doors outside for security. That's why many people get work to produce these items.

▪️ Because of thieves, fences are built around houses, shops and other buildings; Gates are installed, guards are employed to be at the gate 24 hours a day, and there is also need for uniforms for the guards for which tailors get to work..

 ▪️ Because of thieves, there are not only CCTV cameras and metal detectors but also cyber cells thus creating work for the producers of these items and work for their employees.

▪️ Because of thieves, there are policemen, police stations, outposts, police posts, patrol cars, batons, rifles, revolvers, bullets. All these create employment and also work for the manufacturers.

▪️ Because of thieves, there are courts, judges, lawyers, alkalis, clerks and bailiffs in the courts. That's why many people get jobs.

▪️ Because of thieves, there are prisons, warders, the police, detectives for jails. That's why many people get jobs.

▪️ When mobile phones, laptops, electronic devices, bicycles and vehicles are stolen, people buy new ones. This buying and selling strengthens the country's economy and gives jobs to many people.

▪️ If a thief is highly recognized and famous, then the media in the country and abroad also make news of him and earn their living.

 ▪️ After reading all this, you will definitely be convinced that thieves are the backbone of the entire government system and a means of livelihood for many people in the society.
